INTERVIEW | Life and Death | Clockwork

How would you define your own sense of style?

Francesco: Monochromatic.

Federico: Straight to the point.

Describe a typical day in your life.
Federico: During the day I work in advertising, whilst I secretly waste time
listening to music. Most days after work I catch up with Francesco at the studio and work on our projects till late.
Francesco: I usually wake up at noon, getting ready to hit the recording studio
round 2:00pm and end up staying there till round midnight. But if it's a "no studio day" i'll chill at home and will eventually find something to do; having a passion for photography (although i'm still a rookie) can lead me to some photo editing sometimes but that's pretty rare in these days.

What is presently inspiring you?

Bodi Bill, Boohgaloo Zoo, and Baths. We like
to vary a lot.

Do you have a muse/inspiration?

We have quite a few. But if we'd have to
mention one in particular we'd say it's Mr.James Brown.

What do you love most about what you do?

The fact you get to travel and see
the world whilst doing what you love is a pretty determining factor, but partying for 3 days straight with wonderful people and getting shit faced is pretty cool too sometimes.

Describe your work for someone who has never seen your work before.

80's
driven disco combined to new age Chinese pop with a hint of house music would be the right way to put it.

What did you want to be when you grew up?

Francesco: I wanted to be a
Graphic designer, never even got close to it.
Federico:I wanted to be what I
am... more or less, still working on it.

Word or phrase you use too often?

Francesco: I'd say it's the F word
unfortunately.
Federico: "Let's do this"

What are you afraid of?

Francesco: Cheese and Feet.
Federico: Paranormal
Activity and Boredom.

Upcoming projects, exhibitions, plans?

Leaving on the 20th of May for gigs in,
Manchester, Chicago, Detroit and Milan for which we are extremely excited.
We
are also finishing off 2 Ep's, one for Jonny white's N0.19 label and one for Life and Death.
